Dates and Deadlines 

The Honors College accepts applications year-round, but we do not operate on a rolling admissions basis; all applications are reviewed after each specified deadline. Please refer to the timetable below for deadlines and notification dates, and keep in mind that the application will be inaccessible after each deadline to allow time for processing, and will reopen after decisions are made for the current cycle. 

Fall 2025 Application Cycle: 
Application opens: September 9th
Priority application deadline: February 23rd*
Priority admissions notification: between March 6th - 12th
Final application deadline for Fall: June 30th**
Admission notification: between July 14th - 31st 

* Students who want to receive their Honors College admissions decision before summer orientations begin or those who would like to reserve housing in the Honors RLC in Vandergriff Hall must apply by the  Sunday, February 23rd priority deadline. 

**Fall 2025 students applying in this cycle will be eligible to begin their Honors coursework in the Fall semester; however, they will only be able to enroll in Honors-designated courses if spaces are available. 

Instructions 

Applicants will be able to start and save their progress with the application. We highly recommend utilizing the academic resume template provided as a guide to highlight what is preferred to see on your resume. Both the résumé and essay must be saved in PDF format.

Applicants will be notified of their status via an email to their UTA email account.
